Q TIP painting – A fun way to engage kids
Q tip painting is a fun way to paint without the usual paint brush.
Kids are used to painting with a paint brush. Experiment with other ways like vegetable painting or q-tip painting every now and then.

I set up the craft basket with the following items
- A card stock
- Paint
- Tissue paper (to wipe off paint)
- q tips
- pencil
You can do this activity as an open ended activity in which case, you just give some q tips and ask your child to paint however he wants.
If you want to do it in a structured way, you can decide on a shape and trace an outline of the shape with pencil. We decided to do a heart and I drew a heart outline. The kids then dipped the q tips in paint and used them to paint the heart

Tip: Any activity that involves paint can get messy. Remember to spread a newspaper below. Also, pour the paint on to a paper plate or cups to avoid the paint getting mixed up.
